Home is where the heart…goes

This week’s Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is anything goes, so I thought this clean and simple card would be a perfect fit.

home

To make this card, I stamped the jar design and the word home in black on a bright white card-stock panel then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. After that, I added the small pink heart to the corner, adhered the panel to a hot pink card-stock base, and finished it off with a coordinating lined envelope.

Don’t be a Square

This week’s Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge theme is It’s Hip To Be Square and I could not agree more! I love how cool and different square cards are from the normal rectangle cards we’re all use to !

Square bday

To make this card I used my new silhouette machine to cut the cake shape out of a 4×4 square card base of sparkly white card stock. I then adhered it to a sheet of pink ombre paper from my SSS February Card Kit before adding a couple of SSS Moonshine sequins to finish it all off.

Stop and smell the flowers

This week’s Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge theme is flowers and who doesn’t love a bouquet of flowers? Especially one’s that won’t wilt!

flowers

To make this card I started by stamping my images on watercolor paper with Versamark clear ink and then heat embossed them with white Wow embossing powder. After that, I dropped in Distress inks in pinks, yellows, and greens onto an already wet panel and let them move freely. Once the panel was dry, I die cut the stitched border, added the sentiment, and topped it all off with a small baker’s twine bow and some Wink of Stella to make the flowers sparkle.

The Polka!

This week’s Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is all about polka dots, which inspired this sweet little baby card.

To make this card, I first embossed polka dots on a bright white front panel I had die cut with scallops, then adhered it to a pale pink top folding card stock base.Next, I die cut a onsie, then propped it up with fun foam for some fun dimension. Finally, to complete the card,  I added a sparkly heart and a sweet pink bow of bakers twine to finish it off.

Make A Wish!

This is the final card I put together in celebration of  Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge’s Birthday! Make a big wish SSSWC!

bday candles

To make this card I first adhered a bright white front panel onto a side folding card-stock base. I then used washi tape to make the candles, and glitter tape to make the flames. I then heat embossed the stamped happy birthday sentiment and attached it to the bottom of the card with some foam tape to make it pop.

#HBD!

I’m having so much fun celebrating Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge ‘s 7th Birthday! #HBDSSSWC!

To make this sweet little card I started by creating the layers of the cake on a bright white front panel with different patterns of washi tape. I then added the adorable happy birthday sentiment from Simon Says Stamps’ Birthday flowers stamp set and adhered the entire thing to a light pink top folding base.

Happy 7th Birthday!

Happy 7th Birthday to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! You inspire me, and so many others, each and every week!  Here’s to many, many more! HBD!

To make this card I started by die cutting the cupcake out of three of my favorite papers; kraft, light pink (with a little bit of wink of stella) and of course the adorable scattered hearts paper I received in my SSS February card kit! ( I seriously love their card kits!) I then used fun foam to pop the frosting up off the card for some fun dimension. After that, I adhered the cupcake to a polka a dot embossed panel and added the happy birthday sentiment to finish it off.

Birthday Wishes

This week I combined the Simon Says Stamp ‘Anything Goes’ Wednesday Challenge with the Work it Wednesday Simon Says Challenge to make this sweet little pastel birthday card.

To make this card I started by layering dark silver glitter paper under a bright white front panel to create a frame effect and then added it onto a pastel blue card stock base. Using dies, I cut out three different balloons; one in solid, one patterned, and one in the coordinating glitter paper and adhered them to the card. After adding the sentiment, balloon strings, and tiny bows from the SSS Birthday Bits Set I finished it off with three moonshine sequins.

It’s raining, it’s pouring…

This week’s Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge might just be my most favorite yet, because umbrellas, rain, and clouds are pretty much my jam! (A true Seattle girl for life!)

To make this card I started by embossing a bright white front panel with small clouds and attaching it to a top folding gold card stock base. I then die cut two large clouds and an umbrella out of the cute patterned paper in this months SSS April card kit and adhered them to the card with fun foam to help make them pop. Finally, I added the small die cut hearts, covered with wink of Stella, and the sunshine sentiment stamp (also from the card kit!) to the bottom of the card to finish it all off.

Snuggly Bunny

This week’s Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is all about the cute and cuddly…and what could be cuter and cuddlier than a bunny at Easter? Not much, I say! (Especially when using the SSS March card kit! So cute!)

To make this card, I started by adhering a front panel of pink patterned paper to a bright white card stock base. I then die cut the largest bunny out of white glitter paper and fun foam and added them to the middle of the card. Lastly, I added a small bow of baker’s twine in grey and stamped a Happy Easter sentiment inside of the card.
